Most people simply search for their documents on their PCs by navigating through a maze of folders. But there's a simpler way to do all of this. Simply download and install Google Desktop Search and you're good to go. GDS will index all your files and all you have to do is hit 'Ctrl' twice for a universal search bar. (you may have to enable this in preferences)

The good thing about this search bar is that it also indexes your applications. No more clicking on the 'Start' menu and then 'All Programs' and then hunting for the program you want. Simply press Ctrl twice and type in the name of the app and its listed right there.

For example, if you want to use Calculator, simply type calc and it'll be listed in the search results drop-down.

It's that easy. Go ahead, download GDS and give it a try. It makes using your PC much easier.
